The Town of Irricana will be completing upcoming road, sidewalk, concrete and paving repairs at various locations throughout the community starting September 1, 2026 (weather permitting).
Affected Areas
- 329 6 St.
- 320 6 St.
- 35 Hay Place
- 840 Madison Drive
- 211 1 St.
- Intersection of 2 St. & 2 Ave
- 305 1 Ave
- Concrete pad for bench and curb & gutter east of the bench
- Line painting along the south side of 2 St. in the main business sector and in front of the Quonset

Work Schedule
September 1–9, 2026 (weather permitting)
✅ Saw cutting asphalt and concrete
✅ Placing base gravel in affected paving areas
✅ Forming and Pouring concrete for sidewalks, curbs and gutters
Beginning September 15, 2026 (weather permitting)
Paving work will commence approximately 1 week after concrete has cured. (Tentatively scheduled for Sept. 15th)
Please keep vehicles off the new curb and gutter until the asphalt is tied in. Foot traffic on the sidewalks is fine once the tape comes down.
Additional line painting will follow later in September. The schedule will be posted once dates are confirmed.
Work Area Safety
Residents and motorists may experience temporary disruptions, parking restrictions, traffic delays and limited access near active work areas. Please use caution and keep workers safe, follow all posted signage, and avoid construction zones whenever possible.
Off-street parking will not be permitted in the affected areas during construction. Signs will be posted in advance to notify residents.
