2023 Volunteer Recognition

Celebrating the Unsung Heroes: Recognizing Irricana’s Outstanding Volunteers of 2023

We extend our gratitude to the selfless individuals whose commitment, skills, and enthusiasm have undeniably contributed to the enhancement of our community in 2023. In partnership with FCSS and our community partners, Irricana was able to host a number of events in 2023 ranging from community engagement to mental health support. Our events reached not only members of our community, but also those from Beiseker, Acme, Rocky View County, Airdrie, and even Calgary!

Small towns like ours rely on the collaborative efforts of residents who generously invest their time and energy where they live, work, and play. Our 2023 volunteers have been instrumental in shaping the unique identity of our Town, leaving an enduring impact on the lives of its inhabitants and reinforcing the sense of unity that defines Irricana. These exceptional volunteers contribute not only to the well-being of individuals but also to the collective strength of our community. Volunteer spirit is an essential element that complements the Municipal services and FCSS programs we provide.

As we look forward, may the example set by these dedicated individuals continue to inspire a new generation of volunteers, ensuring that the collaborative spirit of Irricana remains at the forefront of our shared journey. We look forward to connecting with even more volunteers in 2024 as we plan more great events and programs that align with our community’s needs!

In special recognition of our 2023 volunteers, a tree will be planted in the Spring of 2024 with a plaque commemorating their dedication to growing and cultivating our community spirit. Stay tuned for more details.

2023 Youth Volunteer Recognition

As a special thank you to our four 2023 Irricana Youth Volunteers! Their energy, enthusiasm, and commitment are a shining representation of the youth in our community, From helping with set-up and running the popcorn machine to mopping floors, these youth stepped up at every opportunity. Way to go!!

As a reward for their efforts, FCSS provided them with a Certificate of Appreciation along with a Letter of Recognition, and a small gift of appreciation. Volunteering is fun for all ages (plus, FREE PIZZA!), and we’d love to see even more youth volunteers in 2024!

🔥 A Fire Advisory is in effect for East Rocky View County, including Irricana, as of April 25, 2024
