Fire Ban Lifted

Given the substantial moisture this weekend, and the Alberta Wildfire Status Board (Fire Weather Index) now has most of Rocky View County under a low to moderate fire risk, the Fire Ban will be removed for East/West Rocky View County, including Irricana. Rocky View County Fire Services will continue to monitor the Fire Risk Index and advisories of regional partners including the Calgary Forest Area for updates and changes to our fire risk. Further updates will be provided throughout the summer as we monitor fire risk and recreational needs of the community.
Effective immediately, there are no Fire Advisories or Bans in the East/West region of the County, and permit burning is allowed. Always follow safe burning practices.
