The Town of Irricana’s new and improved splash park which is set to open on June 25th, 2018 @ 2pm with the first button press! Following a period of consultation with residents, it has been a long wait for families in the area and we can’t wait to see everyone splashing around. The new splash park is situated in the same location as the former splash park in our recreation area off of Henrick’s Drive.
Hours of Operation:
7 days a week
10a.m. until 9p.m.
During maintenance or emergency repairs the spray park will be closed and website/social media will be updated.
The Park will close at the end of the summer season (weather dependent)
This Splash Park has 11 features:
1. Aqua Dome
2. Bollard Activator
3. Frog Spray (Toddler Zone)
5. Jet Stream
7. Playsafe Drain
9. Water Tunnel
10. Dumping Bucket
11. Spray Loop
The Spray Park will time out automatically, to reactivate simply push the Blue Bollard Activator at the North side of the Pad.
The Town was forced to shut down the Splash Park last summer after an underground pipe burst. The entire project cost $165, 193.00 and was funded through the province’s Municipal Sustainability Initiative program and through theRockyview County Recreation Board. We give many thanks to MSI and Rockyview for their contributions.
The splash park will help to better serve young families in the community, council and staff are very optimistic about moving forward and the potential for growth.
