NEW YOGA CLASSES

We are excited to bring you Parent & Tot Yoga and Seated Yoga this summer!

Lead by Instructor Julianne Duffy who has found a passion in Yoga for over 15 years.  7 years ago, she received her yoga certification and never looked back.   Since then, she has had the opportunity to teach throughout the City of Calgary.  From Chair yoga with the MS Society of Canada, an assortment of classes for a variety of yoga studios such as Yoga and Beyond, to private and semi-private yoga sessions.  In the last two and a half years she has had the opportunity to teach Seniors Chair yoga with the Golden Years Town and Country Club, Kids Yoga during The Village of Beisekers Summer Camp program and an assortment of yoga classes including Restorative and Hatha in my private home studio located in The Village of Beiseker.   Besides her passion for yoga and helping others improve their flexibility, strength, breath, peace of mind and mental awareness, you can find her in the garden.  Julianne is always up for an interesting conversation on successful growing techniques.   For up to date information on her classes please visit her website at www.breathewithinyoga.com.

Registration can be done at the Town Office located at 222 2 Street Irricana, AB T0M 1B0, not able to make it in? No problem, contact Tawnia to register over the phone at 403-935-4672 ext. 104. Waiver forms are mandatory and if you wish to be proactive and fill them out beforehand please click on the links below, otherwise if you are not able to fill them out before the first class please arrive 15 minutes before the start of your first class.

  • Parent & Tot Yoga 
    When: July 9 – Aug 13 (No class on Aug 6)
    Where: Irricana Recreation Complex (Yoga Studio Lower Level) 302 2 Street
    Time: 10am – 11am
    Cost: Members $55.00, Non-Members $65.00
    Babysitting option $2 drop in upon arrival – non mobile infants are welcome to join you on the mat and mobile toddlers or youth can enjoy time in our recreation area with our Recreation Coordinator Brenna

This class is for you mom and/or dad. Ease the aches and build strength to rise to the challenges of caring for your littles. Designed to nurture and energize you in a safe and challenging yoga practice. You will leave class feeling better then when you started. Never done a yoga class? No problem – there’s a first time for everything, this class is open to all levels!

  • Seated Yoga 
    When: July 10 – Aug 14
    Where: Irricana Recreation Complex (Yoga Studio Lower Level) 302 2 Street
    Time: 10am – 11am
    Cost: Members $65.00, Non-Members $75.00

Chair Yoga is a practice using a chair for seated poses, and the chair as a balance point for standing poses. Perfect for those who are unable to get up and down off the floor comfortably or anyone who likes a gentle yoga class.
